关于本病患

Parkinson's disease, also known as tremor paralysis, is a neurodegenerative disease commonly found in middle-aged and elderly people. The main pathological feature is the degeneration and death of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra of the midbrain, leading to a significant decrease in dopamine levels and hindering the brain's ability to command muscles, resulting in a series of motor and non motor symptoms.

Symptom manifestations

The symptoms of Parkinson's disease mainly include two categories:

Motor symptoms: such as static tremors (often starting from the distal end of one upper limb, typically manifested as rolling ball like movements), muscle rigidity (body stiffness, increased resistance to movement), bradykinesia (slow movements, difficulty starting, presenting a panicked gait), and postural balance disorders (prone to falling).

Non motor symptoms: such as constipation, olfactory dysfunction, sleep disorders, autonomic dysfunction (such as hyperhidrosis, urinary disorders, orthostatic hypotension), cognitive impairment (such as depression, anxiety, dementia), etc.

pathogeny

The etiology of Parkinson's disease is not fully understood, but it is generally believed to be related to various factors such as genetics, environmental factors, and aging of the nervous system. About 10% of patients have a family history, indicating that genetic factors play a role in the onset of the disease. In addition, certain toxins in the environment, such as insecticides and herbicides, may also be associated with the occurrence of Parkinson's disease.

Latest treatment methods

There is currently no cure for Parkinson's disease, but various treatment methods can be used to alleviate symptoms and improve patients' quality of life. The main treatment methods include:

Drug therapy: It is the most basic treatment for Parkinson's disease. Commonly used drugs include dopamine receptor agonists, monoamine oxidase type B inhibitors, catechol-O-methyltransferase inhibitors, etc. These drugs can supplement dopamine or increase dopamine sensitivity, thereby improving patients' motor symptoms.

Surgical treatment: For patients with poor drug treatment or severe symptoms, surgical treatment may be considered. Mainly including nerve nucleus destruction surgery and deep brain stimulation (DBS), these surgeries can directly stimulate or destroy relevant nerve nuclei, thereby improving patients' symptoms.

Rehabilitation therapy: including physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychological therapy, etc., aimed at helping patients recover or maintain normal motor function and improve their quality of life.

Lifestyle adjustments: Maintaining a healthy lifestyle, such as a balanced diet, moderate exercise, and adequate sleep, can also help alleviate symptoms of Parkinson's disease.

In summary, Parkinson's disease is a complex neurodegenerative disease that requires a combination of multiple treatment methods to alleviate symptoms and improve patients' quality of life. With the continuous deepening of medical research, it is believed that more new treatment methods will emerge in the future, bringing better treatment effects to patients.
