About Disease

Gout is a disease caused by excessive accumulation of uric acid. The basic etiology and specific pathogenesis of gout are not very clear, but gout is closely related to hyperuricemia, and about 90% of patients are caused by uric acid excretion disorders. According to the causes of gout can be divided into primary, secondary and idiopathic three categories, primary gout accounted for the vast majority.

Frequent acute joint pain, redness, swelling, heat, pain, and dysfunction around the joints are typical symptoms of gout. Repeated attacks of the disease can lead to chronic joint lesions, which eventually change the shape of the joint and limit joint movement. Patients may also develop kidney damage during the longer course of the disease. Gout is not an infectious disease, so there is no problem of infection source and transmission route.
